Now you can apply clearcoat. If you have not already, take the body peices back apart again and spray each piece seperately. I have tried airbrush clearcoats before, but the best results for this have always come from a spray can. I use Testors High Gloss for this.

When it is dry enough to handle, you can start to re-apply the details the car had before. Many times, I actually use a toothpick to do this detailed work.

At this point, it should be safe to pull the masking off of the windows. You will notice that even with the quality of the plastic tape, there will still be just a little bleed under with paint.

This can be fixed by taking a toothpick, soaking it with paint thinner, and using it to scrape off the excess paint. The paint thinner actually does not harm the window paint.

Reassemble the car a final time. The light lenses can be put back in with either glue, or by re-melting the pins from the back with a soldering iron. Now you can put your new beauty on the shelf for all to see, because heaven forbid you would ever want to race it! :) Good luck with your own, and happy painting!
